This workbook is a collection of sources of great interactive work while simultaneously being lo-fi interactive itself
This workbook was part of a research project into interactive design. It started out with basic research across different media, ranging from photography to generative design.
The book lists the sources itself—being a kind of elaborate bibliography—while also communicating interactivity through clever book design.
Printing was done on three different stocks, transparent foil, frosted semi-transparent paper and 160gsm white matte paper. Through layering of these stocks content was sometime hidden behind solid areas of the previous foil and only revealed to the reader while engaging with the book.
The second aspect is that this layering also allowed for a mixture of legibility across pages. While laying flat the pages are nearly completely transparent but when lifting the pages to get to the content the pages background becomes completely opaque.
