Rather than trying to utilize common methods and approches of photography I discovered and explored new ways to take photos.
After the discovery of a technique called "through the viewfinder" photography (TTV) in which a photo of the viewfinder of another camera, that has a large and clear viewfinder, is taken. I chose to adapt this technique exploring new ways to challenge the current aesthetics in photography.
Building a specialized contraption to house my camera enabled me to add information on multiple transparent layers. Through colour, type and objects on these layers I can add visual as well as conceptual depth to my photographs introducing a innovative and emotive new aesthetic in photography.
Note: The following photos aside from having been cropped to their natural square shape have not otherwise been altered.
